On the 1st of July 2006 the Village went carnival crazy, despite being hours before an England World Cup game!

St James once again joined in, this year travelling around the village in style on a decorated float, which came 2nd in a closely fought (but friendly) battle with Arden Forest Infant School.

A big thank you to the members of the Friends Association who took the time to make the float, ably designed and guided by Joanne James, to all the children who took part and, of course, Ralph Coleman who provided us with our 'canvas', the lorry itself.
Something's not quite right...!
The children's animal art work
The children's audience art work
The back of the lorry
The completed lorry
The staff at St James clowning around again...
Is there a doctor on the float?!
Mr Davies soon had things whipped into shape
The lorry en route
Mrs Aston was beginning to feel tie-erd

All good things come to an end... bursting the balloons
Hours of preparation, minutes to take down
Back to normal... until next time!!
