Traditional summer sports including athletics are also catered for and the school has an annual Sport’s Day, where the children compete for their house teams in a range of events. The school also participates in Town Sports every year, which is an athletics competition between schools in our local area.
Children in Year 4 have a term of swimming lessons at a local Swimming Baths as part of their P.E. entitlement. We also take Year 6 pupils each year on an Out of Bounds residential trip.
Competitive Sport is an important aspect of the P.E. curriculum that we offer and we are represented in sporting competitions against other local primary schools. We have a number of teams and we attend competitions on a regular basis. Our children are also encouraged to share their successes achieved out of school, via our Achievement Assemblies.
